CRYPTOCURRENCY: Temasek Joins Libra Association

Libra is a permissioned blockchain digital currency being pushed by Facebook, Inc. Libra Association is a consortium Facebook set up to create a global digital currency.
“Temasek sees innovative technologies such as blockchain as transformative enablers of growth,” Libra said in a release. “Temasek’s efforts to support and advance the use of blockchain technology across a range of use cases, asset classes and sectors, reflects its drive to explore, develop and invest in solutions to bring about a better, smarter and more sustainable world.”
The other two new members are two cryptocurrency-focused investment firms – Paradigm and Slow Ventures.
Some other members of the Libra Association include BisonTrails, Kiva, Farfetch, Coinbase, and Uber Technologies.
