Bpifrance Corrals Institutional Capital for Fund Supporting French Listed Companies

Bpifrance raised roughly €4.2 billion for a new fund to support the capital base of large French listed companies. Over 20 investors committed €3.2 billion, while €1 billion in debt was raised by LAC 1.

Some of the French institutional investors in the new fund include AXA SA, CNP Assurances, Covea, Groupama, Groupe VYV, Societe Generale Assurances, the Caisse des Dépôts, Natixis SA, Aviva France (part of Aviva Plc), CCR (Caisse Centrale de Réassurance), and Scor. Other French investors include telecoms operator Orange, and the Unibel and Financière Dassault family offices. Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. is also an investor.

In addition, Bpifrance and Mubadala Investment Company displayed in February 2020 that they would invest one billion euros each in the fund.
