Facebook Rebrands Digital Payment Service from Calibra to Novi

Facebook rebranded its digital wallet product from the name Calibra to Novi. The word “Novus” is “New” in latin and “Via” means “Way”.
The effort for making Calibra was debuted in 2019 and is part of the social media giant’s strategy to enter the digital currency space. Facebook is in the process of launching a cryptocurrency called Libra, in a bid to jump into the lucrative payments space. Facebook plans to manage Novi.
