Alkeon Capital Leads Benchling’s Series D Round

Benchling, Inc. is a life sciences R&D cloud-based software platform. The company raised US$ 50 million in Series D funding. Hedge fund Alkeon Capital Management, LLC led the round, and was joined by Spark Capital, Lux Capital, Iconiq Capital, and return backers Thrive Capital and Benchmark. Benchling sells its professional package, which includes 5 seats, starting at US$ 20,000 per year, per website. Some of Benchling’s clients are Regeneron and Gilead. The US$ 34 million Series C round in July 2019 was led by Menlo Ventures.
