CIC, Eurazeo, and BNP Paribas Hold First Close for Franco-China Investment Fund

The China Investment Corporation (CIC), Eurazeo, and BNP Paribas held the first close for its €400 million Franco-Chinese investment fund. The fund concept was launched in March 2019 in a strategy to be managed by Eurazeo. The fund’s first acquisition was a €300 million purchase of Dutch Ophthalmic Research Center from Montagu Private Equity. The France-China Cooperation fund is backed by its three partners who are able to commit an additional €250 million, within a limit of 25% of the fund for each of BNP Paribas and CIC. The fund is also open to third-party investors.
