Bpifrance and Mubadala Participate in Series A in Owkin

Owkin, Inc. is a medical research company. Revealed on June 30, 2020, Owkin raised a Series A round that reached US$ 70 million. Mubadala Capital and Bpifrance entered into the Series A round late contributing a combined US$ 18 million. Owkin has offices in both New York and France. Founded in 2016, the healthtech startup is headquartered in New York City. Other investors in the Series A round, which was initially announced in 2018, include Cathay Innovation, MACSF (a French pension fund for clinicians), GV (Google ventures, which is part of Alphabet), F-Prime Capital, Eight Roads, Frst, and NJF Capital.
