DWS and Northwestern Mutual Form Partnership on Private Market Opportunities

DWS Group GmbH & Co. KGaA formed an agreement to enter into a strategic partnership with Northwestern Mutual’s private markets division, Northwestern Mutual Capital LLC. The partnership entails the identification and developing of private market opportunities. Northwestern Mutual Capital has been investing in private markets for more than 40 years, and the partnership represents an addition to DWS’s private asset offering to institutional investors.
Through the partnership, Northwestern Mutual Capital will grow third-party assets and further diversify in collaboration with DWS’s global private equity team. For DWS, this partnership accelerates a strong growth area for its business as investors continue to increase their commitments to private market strategies.
DWS Group oversees US$ 772 billion of assets under management as of March 31, 2020.
