Kuwait SWF Expresses Interest in Open Fiber

Enel S.p.A. received an expression of interest from Wren House, the infrastructure unit of the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), to purchase a 50% stake in Open Fiber, a European broadband network company. Enel owns a 50% stake in Open Fiber. Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) owns the remaining shares in Open Fiber.
In June 2020, Enel received a non-binding bid from Macquarie Infrastructure Real Asset to buy all or a portion of OpenFiber.
