Falling Diamond Revenue Impacts Pula Fund

The Bank of Botswana is the country’s central bank. Botswana Pula Fund does not have rules that give guidance on withdrawals and funding. The central bank is pursuing legislation to limit access to the Pula Fund to preserve it. Diamond revenues are the main source of the Pula Fund and have been falling due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
