Investment Management Corporation of Ontario Forms Partnership with Valence Energy Capital

The Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) formed an exclusive partnership with Calgary-based Valence Energy Capital Corporation, a small startup focused on power assets. The strategic platform will target power assets. Valence’s principals, Matthew Mendes and Trevor Wills, are experienced executives in the operating and managing electricity business space. Matthew Mendes is a former executive of Enbridge. Valence Energy will be tasked to identify and source opportunities in select global power markets, giving IMCO increased deal flow to invest in renewable energy.
