NBIM Looks for Chief Real Assets Officer

Posted on 09/18/2020

Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) oversees Norway Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG). Karsten Kallevig is leaving his post as Chief Investment Officer Real Estate in Norges Bank Investment Management. As NBIM has a new CEO, new management changes can be a norm for a public institutional investor. Kallevig will step out of the leader group and become a special advisor to the CEO. The new leader group is scheduled to be announced in October 2020.

There is an ongoing internal process to recruit a Chief Real Asset Officer, and Kallevig will be working closely with this person.

“I am pleased to have Karsten in a more strategic role. He has built a high-quality organisation over the past decade and carries with him valuable investment experience which will benefit us going forward”, says CEO Nicolai Tangen in a press release.
