Mubadala Grabs Stake in Enagas

Abu Dhabi-based Mubadala Investment Company is not slowing down. The investor snagged a 3.1% stake in the Spain-based gas system operator Enagas, S.A., according to a filing to the Madrid stock market regulator. Mubadala holds 3.1% of voting rights in Enagas. Enagas owns stakes in firms in the Mediterranean region, Latin America, and the United States.

Enagas was founded in 1972 by the Spanish Government with the aim of creating a nationwide network of gas pipelines. Sociedad Estatal de Participaciones Industriales (SEPI) is a Spanish state holding company that owns 13,099,504 shares of 5% of the company, while Amancio Ortega holds 13,099,504 shares as well.
