Wasatch Advisors Makes Progress in Superannuation World

Salt Lake City-based Wasatch Advisors, Inc., trading as Wasatch Global Investors, is an asset manager that specializes in small and mid-cap equities. Wasatch Advisors expanded a sizable mandate by an existing client, a major corporate superannuation fund in Australia. The new allocation is split between the Wasatch Micro Cap Growth-U.S. Strategy and Wasatch Global Select Strategy. This is the first institutional mandate for Wasatch’s Global Select Strategy, an all-cap equity portfolio.
In August 2020, Wasatch Advisors strategically hired Amelia Kennedy as Vice President of Institutional Business Development for the Asia-Pacific Region. Previously, Amelia Kennedy was the Head of Research & Governance at ANZ Private Banking & Advice.
Wasatch has significantly increased its global client base in recent years, most notably in Australia with A$ 1.085 billion in managed assets. Some of Wasatch’s clients in Australia include Qantas Super and Mine Super. Wasatch had US$ 23.8 billion in assets under management as of July 31, 2020.
