2. Apple Inc plans to partner with outside lidar companies for some sensors. Apple is looking at electric car production.

3. Former US Vice President Joe Biden and targeted to assume the U.S. presidency received his first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

4. California Governor Gavin Newsom quarantines after his staff tested positive for COVID-19. Newsom says stay-at-home orders likely will be extended.

5. Amazon.com Inc (Amazon) fire tv exceeded 50 million monthly active users globally.

6. U.S. Congress releases text of STIMULUS SPENDING legislation. This is a 5,593-page package of legislation that combines pandemic relief with a bill to fund government operations. The roughly US$ 900 billion aid package is attached to a US$ 1.4 trillion measure to fund government operations through the end of the fiscal year.
