Posted on 01/14/2021

The Muscat Securities Market is Oman’s stock market. The stock market owner converted into a closed joint stock company and moved under the ownership of the state-owned Oman Investment Authority (OIA). The Oman Investment Authority is the reorganized sovereign wealth fund, with origins from the Oman State General Reserve Fund.

In addition, the Muscat Securities Market was renamed to the Muscat Stock Exchange. All assets and employees of the Muscat Securities Market will be transferred to that new entity.
