1. Several thousand people held an unauthorized protest in Amsterdam on Sunday. The reason is for the national lockdown. The Netherlands government wants to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The protest was dispersed by riot police. The protesters gathered on a square in front of the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum art galleries. Some of the signs read: “Freedom: stop this siege” and chanting “What do we want? Freedom!”.

2. Phil Spector, music producer and convicted murderer, dies at 81 of natural causes. Spector spent his final years in prison for killing aspiring actress Lana Clarkson.

3. BLM activist John Sullivan, who participated in the U.S. Capitol riot and went into the building, has been released from jail without bail. U.S. Department of Justice official says no “direct evidence” of a plot to kidnap or assassinate lawmakers during U.S. Capitol unrest. There are now 25,000 troops in Washington, D.C. in anticipation of the virtual inauguration of Joe Biden as President of the U.S.

4. Ford Motor Company has delays hundreds of Mustang Mach-E deliveries for additional quality checks.

5. Even during travel lockdowns during COVID, the U.S. is set for a massive influx of foreign immigration as the incoming Biden administration has signaled amnesty for illegal immigrants and his party will now control all voted branches of government. Already, a large migrant caravan from Central America is heading to the U.S. border.

6. At least 78 people have been killed after a 6.2 magnitude earthquake occurred on Indonesia’s West Sulawesi province on Friday. In a statement, Search and Rescue agency (Basarnas) confirmed 78 had died.
