1. Bank of France reveals that French economic activity has plateaued at 5% below pre-crisis levels. The French government is holding off on mandating full COVID lockdowns that go past the current curfew.

2. Vietnam culls 100,000 poultry as bird flu spreads to 14 provinces.

3. Carl Icahn reduces Tenneco stake to 11.36%. (Ticker: TEN).

4. Apple Inc debuts notes that include US$ 2.5 billion of 0.700% notes due 2026 and US$ 2.5 billion of 1.200% notes due 2028.

5. Qatar Petroleum hired Chiyoda Corporation and TechnipFMC Plc for the main construction contract to expand its liquefied natural gas production capacity by 43%. The agreement is worth about US$ 13 billion. The expansion project’s total cost will be US$ 28.75 billion, according to Qatar Petroleum Chief Executive Officer Saad Al-Kaabi.

6. DoorDash to acquire robotics startup Chowbotics Inc. Chowbotics was founded in 2014, and its fresh food robot Sally is a rectangular machine that’s essentially a salad vending machine.
