William Blair Investment Management signed a deal to buy Investment Counselors of Maryland, LLC (ICM) from BrightSphere Investment Group. Investment Counselors of Maryland is a US$ 3.2 billion institutional U.S. value equity investment firm. Founded in 1972, Investment Counselors of Maryland value is led by Bill Heaphy, CFA.
Subject to customary closing conditions, the transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of this year; terms will not be disclosed.
