Kirsty Mactaggart Appointed to Guardians’ Board of NZ Super

Former Fidelity executive, Kirsty Mactaggart has been appointed to the Board of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, serving a five year term beginning in April 2021. She was Head of Equity Capital Markets for Asia Pacific with fund manager Fidelity from 2005 until 2018, and before that spent eleven years as Managing Director at investment bank Citigroup in both Europe and Asia.

Guardians’ Chair Catherine Savage welcomes the appointment saying in a press release, “Kirsty is a well-respected industry leader with a unique global perspective developed over her varied career. Her appointment comes at a challenging time in financial markets and we look forward to receiving the benefit of her expertise.”

Along with her experience working and living in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore, Kirsty Mactaggart has spent extended periods of time on transactions in Korea, Thailand and Australia. Originally from Scotland, she now lives permanently in New Zealand. She currently currently works as an independent director and advisor on the boards of listed infrastructure investment company Infratil and private investment company BBRC Worldwide.
