From Hedge Funds to Bitcoin, Scaramucci-Led Skybridge is Reborn

First Trust Advisors and SkyBridge Capital recently filed an S-1 to create the First Trust SkyBridge Bitcoin ETF Trust. First Trust Advisors L.P. would be the advisor to the ETF while SkyBridge Capital II, LLC would serve as the sub-advisor. Shares would trade on NYSE Arca, the filing said. The Bank of New York Mellon will serve as the Administrator of the Trust. Anthony Scaramucci and Brett S. Messing, the co-portfolio managers of the Trust, are jointly and primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of the Trust’s portfolio.
SkyBridge Capital is known as a hedge fund-of-funds business with a powerful event platform known as SALT. The conference has grown to include participation by over 1,800 thought leaders, public policy officials, business professionals, investors and money managers from around the world. SkyBridge Capital also recently launched the SkyBridge Bitcoin Fund L.P., an unregistered fund that seeks exposure to bitcoin in a manner substantially similar to the investment strategy of the Trust.
