1. Amazon.com, Inc. opened a game development studio in Montreal, Canada.

2. Greece recorded its highest daily increase in new COVID-19 cases. Sweden plans to make a decision on the AstraZeneca COVID shot. Pfizer’s CEO says the firm gained a decade’s worth of mRNA gene therapy expertise in working with German partner in 2020. New cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) are once again on the rise across more than half of the United States, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. AstraZeneca Plc disclosed plans to unveil up-to-date results from the U.S. study of its COVID-19 vaccine within 48 hours.

3. The U.S. State Department asks China to stop using its Maritime militia to intimidate and provoke others. Chinese blue-hulled PRC ships have gathered near Whitsun Reef. China’s foreign ministry (Hua Chunying) and embassy in Manila have denied that the vessels belong to China’s militia.

4. On March 22, 2021, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa (age 21), a Syrian immigrant who lived in the Denver suburb of Arvada, opened fire with an AR-15 rifle inside a King Soopers market in Boulder, Colorado that killed 10 people, including a police officer. Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa has been charged with 10 counts of first degree murder. A White House official said U.S. President Biden was briefed that the Colorado shooter had ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) sympathies.
