Alecta Buys into Stena Renewable

In recent years, Alecta has invested approximately 10 billion SEK in infrastructure. Stena Renewable AB has one of the largest operational portfolios of onshore wind in Sweden, producing 315 MW and with close to 600 MW under construction. The wind parks are mainly located in the southern parts of Sweden.

In Alecta’s first direct investment in infrastructure. the investor made an invesmtent in Stena Renewable AB that is divided in to 1 billion SEK in direct investment and 600 million SEK in commitments over a 5-year period.

After the transaction, Stena Renewable will have the following ownership structure: AMF Pension (AMF Pensionforsakring AB) and Kommunal Landspensjonskasse (KLP): each 30 percent; Alecta and Stena Adactum: each 20 percent.

2018

In August 2018, AMF bought 35% and KLP bought 30% of Stena Renewable AB. The initial investments of AMF and KLP stand at about 750 million SEK and SEK 650 million SEK, respectively.
