CDC VAERS Database Paints a Different Picture on COVID Shots

Posted on 05/04/2021

About 2 in 5 American adults are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data shows. Nearly 45% of U.S. citizens and nationals have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine, and 32% are fully vaccinated from the main COVID therapies. 147 million people have received at least one dose in the U.S. The U.S. federal government created the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), which is under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The system enables researchers collect data on vaccine after-effects and to detect patterns that may warrant a closer look. CDC cautions that VAERS results are not enough to determine whether a vaccine causes a particular adverse event. Proponents of the COVID vaccines, claim the data can be misleading and CDC has disclaimers on the data.

On May 3, 2021, the CDC tweeted, “New @JAMA_current study reviews US cases of CVST with thrombocytopenia after J&J #COVID19 vaccination. CDC recommends clinicians check patients presenting with symptoms for CVST or other thrombotic events, and for thrombocytopenia.”

SWFI ran a report on VAERS tracking COVID-19 vaccine adverse effects from inception till April 23, 2021.

The CDC says “COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective and recommends people to get a vaccine if they are eligible.” CDC adds on the same webpage that, “VAERS accepts reports of any adverse event following vaccination, even if it is not clear the vaccine caused the problem.”

Various U.S. outlets are reporting that the FDA will authorize Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine for children age 12-15 by early next week.
