1. Washington, D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine disclosed he is suing Amazon.com, Inc. on antitrust grounds, alleging the company’s practices have unfairly raised prices for consumers and suppressed innovation.

2. Golfer Phil Mickelson, age 50, became the oldest player to win a major championship after he captured the 103rd PGA Championship. Mickelson, 50, took home US$ 2.1 million in earnings for the win.

3. As a consequence from Israel’s moves due to the recent conflict with Palestine, Saudi Arabia moved to close airspace for Israeli flights.

4. The Mali military detained President Bah Ndaw and Prime Minister Moctar Ouane. Mali Colonel Assimi Goita, the leader of 2020’s power grab and vice president of the interim government, accused the pair of violating the transitional charter and said elections will take place next year as planned.

5. Square Inc. plans to offer business checking and savings accounts.

6. The U.S. State Department said Americans should avoid traveling to Japan due to the country’s state of emergency over a COVID-19 outbreak. Tokyo has plans to host the Olympics in less than two months.
