1. MacKenzie Scott (age 51), the ex-wife of Amazon.com Inc Chairman Jeff Bezos, disclosed giving away US$ 2.7 billion to a variety of charities, she wrote in a blog post Tuesday. This is bringing her total donations since her first giving spree in July 2020 to US$ 8.5 billion. Scott became remarried to Dan Jewett, a Seattle science teacher.

2. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo lifts New York state pandemic limits as 70% COVID vaccine benchmark is met.

3. U.S. Navy disclosed USS Ronald Reagan carrier strike group entered the South China Sea on June 14, 2021. The carrier is being accompanied by the guided-missile cruiser USS Shiloh and the guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey. China frequently objects to U.S. military missions in the South China Sea.

4. S&P 500 index hits record high – 4,257.16.
