Renova Energia Agrees to Sell its 51% Stake in Brasil PCH to Mubadala

São Paulo-based Renova Energia S.A. agreed to sell its 51% stake in Brasil PCH S.A. for the amount of BRL 1,100,000,000 (US$ 210,717,000) to Mubadala Capital LLC, a unit of Mubadala Investment Company. Renova Energia is a Brazilian renewable energy company. Mubadala has the right to match any other bids that Renova could receive for Brasil PCH. Brasil PCH generates electricity through hydropower.

The other shareholders in Brasil PCH S.A. are BSB Energy SA at 14.7% ownership and SA Eletroriver at 34.3% ownership.
