TWEET CULTURE: Elon Musk Tires of Bernie Sanders’ Tax the Rich Reflex

Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk’s trust sold circa US$ 1.2 billion in Tesla stock, according to financial filings posted Friday evening (November 12, 2021). Musk sold off around US$ 6.9 billion worth of Tesla stock in a period lasting a week. The sell off depressed Tesla stock prices as it decline 15.4% for the week. Elon Musk still holds more than 166 million shares in Tesla.

However, shares of Tesla are still positive, up around 46% year to date following a record closing price of US$ 1,229.91 on November 4, 2021.

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk on November 13, 2021, tweeted back to U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, tweeting, “I keep forgetting that you’re still alive.” Musk changed his Twitter handle back to @elonmusk from Lorde Edge. Former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is an avowed socialist and supported the late Fidel Castro, the former dictator of Cuba.
