1. Sweden’s first-ever female prime minister, Magdalena Andersson, resigns just hours after her appointment. Magdalena Andersson said Wednesday that she was forced to resign after her budget bill failed and the Green Party quit their two-party coalition government.

“I have asked the speaker to be relieved of my duties as prime minister,” Magdalena Andersson told a media conference. “I am ready to be prime minister in a single-party, Social Democrat government.”

2. The Chinese military launched combat readiness drills near Taiwan.

3. AT&T Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. agreed to cut 5G power over U.S. aviation concerns. Both agreed to limit the strength of service while U.S. regulators review the impact on planes and helicopters. There are air safety concerns raised from the planned use of C-Band spectrum for 5G wireless.
