Activist Investor Starboard Takes a Stake in GoDaddy

Activist investor Starboard Value LP disclosed a sizeable 6.5% stake in domain registrar GoDaddy Inc. The stake is worth around US$ 800 million. GoDaddy is headquartered in Tempe, Arizona.

Starboard Value is a U.S. hedge fund that was founded in 2002 by Jeffrey Smith and Mark Mitchell.
