Mizuho Bank Bets on Vietnamese MoMo Fintech Products

M_Service JSC (MoMo) owns an e-wallet and payments app that allows users to make payments and transfer money digitally. The service is called MoMo. M_Service JSC raised around US$ 200 million in a series E round that was led by Mizuho Bank. Ward Ferry Management and existing shareholders Goodwater Capital LLC and Kora Management LP also contributed to the fundraising effort. MoMo received early backing from private equity firm Warburg Pincus LLC.
