CNP Assurances Buys a Portfolio of Over 7,600 Housing Units from CDC Habitat

On March 9, 2022, French insurance company CNP Assurances S.A. has acquired an 85% interest in a portfolio of 7,600 residential assets from CDC Habitat S.A. The portfolio was worth €2.4 billion. CNP Assurances has acquired 85% of the company Lamartine, created for this transaction and managed by Ampère Gestion, a subsidiary of CDC Habitat, which retains 15% of the capital. CNP Assurances’ bid was selected following a competitive process in which around 30 French and foreign investors participated.

CNP stands for Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance and the company was formed in 1959 as a subsidiary of Caisse des dépôts et consignations, which continues to hold approximately 40% of the company.
