Oman Investment Authority Generated a 10.3% Average Annual Return Since OIA Inception

The Oman Investment Authority (OIA) is planning to release its annual report. OIA discloses a 10.3% average annual return since OIA’s inception via Royal Decree No. 61/2020 until December 31, 2021. OIA came from the Oman State General Reserve Fund, along with other govermental units like the Oman Investment Fund.
Some highlights include the OIA investing in SpaceX, Myco Technology, and an investment fund managed by China Merchant Bank International. OIA makes both direct investments, while allocating to investment funds such as private equity funds and real estate funds.
OIA has around 271 employees and 90% are Omani.
OIA exited from RAK Ceramics (at a 1.13x multiple), Migros Retail Company (at a 1.11x multiple), and Cognet Bioservices (at a 3.15x multiple).
