TA Associates to Acquire a Majority Interest in RE Publisher Green Street from Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe

Newport Beach, California-based Green Street (Green Street Advisors, LLC) is a provider of commercial real estate intelligence and analytics. Green Street was founded in 1985 and works in the real estate information industry.
TA Associates signed a definitive agreement to make a significant growth investment in Green Street. Green Street’s current majority owner, Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS), a private equity firm focused exclusively on the technology and healthcare industries, will retain a minority position in the business. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022 pending customary regulatory approval. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe acquired Green Street in August 2019.

In February 2020, Green Street acquired four publications that serve the commercial real estate and financial industries – Real Estate Alert, Commercial Mortgage Alert, Hedge Fund Alert, and Asset-Backed Alert – from Harrison Scott Publications (HSP).
