Wafra Buys Controlling Interest in Mission Clean Energy

Wafra Inc. took a controlling interest in Mission Clean Energy LLC, a utility scale renewable asset developer. Alongside Wafra, Aggregate Power Infrastructure LLC (API), a clean infrastructure investor, will be investing in Mission Clean Energy. Wafra is owned by the Public Institution for Social Security of Kuwait.

Mission Clean Energy has aggregated a 3GW project development pipeline with a diverse geographical presence across North America and a focus on solar and battery storage projects. Wafra’s investment will be utilized to accelerate the expansion and delivery of these pipeline assets. Mission Clean Energy was founded in 2022.

Max Bakker runs San Francisco-based Atlas Renewable Power and his is also the CEO of Mission Clean Energy. Atlas Renewable Power offers renewable energy project development and consulting services.
