QIA Deposits $1 Billion with Central Bank of Egypt

The Qatar Investment Authority deposited US$ 1 billion with Central Bank of Egypt. The Qatar sovereign wealth fund is in talks on acquiring state-held stakes in Egyptian companies.
Egypt is an importer of wheat and is faced with soaring oil costs.
Egypt is also hosting the 2022 UN Climate Change Conference in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh.
