Al Mal Capital REIT to Acquire GEMS-Operated School

Dubai-listed Al Mal Capital REIT purchased the property assets of Sharjah’s Wesgreen International Private School from Al Batha Real Estate Co. for AED 265 million. The school has two campuses – Muwaliah and Al Qaraien. The school properties are leased to and operated by GEMS Education, offering British curriculum. After the acquisition, GEMS will continue to be the lessee and operator of the school under the existing lease agreement, Al Mal Capital said in a statement to the Dubai Financial Market. Wesgreen International School was founded in 1991 in Sharjah.
