Ryan Reynolds Makes Big Win as Mint Mobile is Sold to T-Mobile

T-Mobile US Inc. is buying Mint Mobile. Mint Mobile is a budget wireless provider part-owned by Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds. T-Mobile US, the second-largest U.S. wireless provider, is paying as much as US$ 1.35 billion to acquire Mint Mobile’s closely held parent company, Ka’ena Corp., with a combination of 39% cash and 61% stock. The ultimate purchase price will be based on Mint reaching certain performance goals, both before and after the transaction closes. Reynolds will continue on in his creative role on behalf of Mint. Its founders David Glickman and  Rizwan Kassim will remain onboard at T-Mobile to manage the brands.

Ryan Reynolds is best known in the public as an A-list movie star thanks to his roles in Spirited, The Adam Project, Free Guy, Red Notice, The Proposal, and many more.

T-Mobile US is headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas and Bellevue, Washington, U.S. Its largest shareholder is a multinational telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom AG, which as of August 2022, holds 48.4% of the common stock.
