AXA IM To Sell Data4 to Brookfield

French asset manager AXA IM will sell its stake in French data center Data4 to Brookfield Infrastructure Partners. Financial details were kept under wraps. This is Brookfield’s first entrance into the European data center market. Data4 is based in Paris and is being valued at close to US$ 4 billion based on the deal. AXA IM said it will continue to seek acquisition and development targets in the data center space. AXA IM acquired Data4 in 2018, also for an undisclosed amount.
Brookfield Infrastructure Partners is a publicly-traded limited partnership with corporate headquarters in Toronto. It acquires and manages infrastructure assets worldwide.
