Mubadala Slips Out of Expensive Naming Rights Deal

Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Investment Company has triumphed over soccer team Real Madrid over a US$ 440 naming rights dispute. Real Madrid said Mubadala was supposed to have naming rights but in the end did not exercise those rights due to a long-term holdup in the original agreement that was neither party’s fault. Real Madrid believes it is owed the money and the deal should resume regardless. A tribunal at the Court of International Trade in Paris sided with Mubadala.

Real Madrid, whose full name is Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, is one of the world’s most famed Spanish professional football teams. based in Madrid who have been playing Real Madrid has been playing in La Liga since 1929. It was founded in 1902.
