Turkish Inflation Rises Again

Annual prices rose a to shocking 59% last month, says Turkey. Monthly inflation rose 9.1%. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been trying to control prices, but is failing currently. Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek warned “the fight against inflation will take some time. We are in a transition period. We will do whatever is necessary.” The central bank has already hiked rates to 25%.
