Summary

The Fund was established during 1974 by Strathclyde Regional Council and transferred to Glasgow City Council on 1st April 1996.

The Strathclyde Pension Fund operates independently of Glasgow City Council. The day-to-day running of the pension fund and pensions administration is carried out by SPFO (Strathclyde Pension Fund Office). SPFO is comprised of a number of teams, each with a specialized role.
