Turkey Wealth Fund Forms Four Sub-Funds

The Turkey Wealth Fund is forming four sub-funds. They are the financial stability fund, license fund, mining fund and a fund in the small-and-medium enterprises (SME) area.

Michelle Neal Named to BNY Mellon’s Executive Committee

BNY Mellon named Michelle Neal to the firm’s executive committee. Michelle Neal is the CEO of BNY Mellon Markets. She joined BNY Mellon in the fourth quarter of 2015. Previously, she was Global Head of Listed Derivatives at Deutsche Bank. She also held leadership roles at Nomura International, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Fidessa LatentZero and Goldman Sachs.

Russia Looks to Help Modernize Cuba’s Railroad System

According to various media agencies, Russian Railways is contemplating a US$ 2 billion investment into Cuba’s railroads, which includes new lines, upgrading some lines and replacing others. A deal could be signed by the end of 2017.

Orchard Street Investment Management Acquires 38 Hatton Garden Property in Clerkenwell

Orchard Street Investment Management bought London’s Hatton Garden for £28.8 million from Dorrington PLC on behalf of St James’s Place UK PLC. The property is located at 38 Hatton Garden, Clerkenwell, London. The freehold building has five floors.

New York State Common Retirement Fund Commits to Landmark Equity Partners XVI

The New York State Common Retirement Fund had committed US$ 200 million to Landmark Equity Partners XVI, a fund managed by Landmark Partners.
