Allianz Global Investors Promotes Zurkow to Head Alts Team

Allianz Global Investors promoted Deborah Zurkow as head of alternatives. Zurkow will join the investment committee and report to Allianz Global Investors’ CEO Andreas Utermann. Previously, Zurkow was chief investment officer and head of infrastructure debt at the company. Claus Fintzen, a portfolio manager from the Allianz Global Investors infrastructure debt team, is taking over her old position. Allianz Global Investors’ alternatives unit oversees €15.7 billion in assets under management.

KIC Names Chief Risk Officer

The Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) named Seung Je Hong as chief risk officer and a member of the executive management. Before joining the KIC, he was director general of the international department and director general of the office of international affairs at the Bank of Korea. He was also a member of the central bank’s foreign exchange reserve risk committee. Seung Je Hong joined the Bank of Korea in 1983.
