U.S. President Trump Mentions Rural Broadband Investment in Infrastructure Proposal

On June 21, 2017, U.S. President Donald J. Trump spoke to a large crowd in Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the U.S. Cellular Center. Trump briefly touted the US$ 1 trillion infrastructure proposal plan. Trump mentioned that part of the plan includes a provision for enhancing rural broadband internet access. Increasingly, U.S. farmers are using technology such as drones and other devices that rely on technological communication infrastructure.
