Shanghai Stock Exchange Temporarily Suspended HNA Bond Trading for Specific Issue

On April 15, 2020, the Shanghai Stock Exchange temporarily suspended trading in a 7-year bond sold by HNA Group. The exchange cited abnormal fluctuations. The 3 billion RMB bond was sold in 2015. Trading was suspended from 09:34 and 10:04 local time in Shanghai, as the price fell as much as 31% in early trading. On that same day HNA Group sought a 1-year extension of another bond due that day.
