Republic Services Ends Collaboration on Truck Development with Nikola Corporation

Phoenix-based Nikola Corporation disclosed that its collaboration on refuse truck development with Republic Services has ended. Nikola has laid out a roadmap that begins deliveries of Nikola Tre battery-electric semi-trucks in the US in 2021. The deal with Republic Services was originally a strong win for the once-high flying electric vehicle startup. The Republic Services’ contract came before the General Motors deal.
