Qatar Electricity and Water Company Signs Deal to Get Full Control of Nebras Power

Qatar Electricity and Water Company is a public utility that owns 60% of energy investment company Nebras Power Q.S.C. Qatar Electricity and Water Company, through its unit Raslaffan Operating Company, signed a deal to acquire the remaining 40% of Nebras Power for US$ 530 million from Qatar Holding, a sovereign wealth enterprise (SWE) of Qatar Investment Authority. The transaction is subject to a number of conditions precedent which includes regulatory approvals and notifications from other foreign jurisdictions where Nebras is present.
