1. TRUCKERS LEAD PEOPLE’S REVOLT IN CANADA. A convoy of trucks crossing Canada are protesting COVID vaccine mandates for truckers. The Canadian government mandates truck drivers to wear masks in trucks and have vaccine mandate in place at the U.S.-Canada border. Trucks with the Freedom Convoy stretch for several blocks in Ottawa, with more circling the area, as protestors continue to gather at Parliament Hill.

“It’s 70 km (43.5 miles) long,” says Freedom Convoy 2022 spokesperson Benjamin Dichter to the Toronto Sun. “I have seen footage from an airplane. It’s impressive.”

The protest has grown into a mass demonstration against the Canadian government over other COVID regulations.

Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family have left their home in Ottawa for a secret location, according to the CBC. This is amid security concerns as thousands pour into the Canadian capital on Saturday in trucker convoys to protest vaccine mandates.
