CPP Investments Sells Small Stake in SBI Life Insurance

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) sold 0.56% stake in SBI Life Insurance for Rs 597 crore. CPPIB sold 5.58 million shares at Rs 1,068.35 each. Among the buyers were Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, Avendus, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Singapore’s GIC Private Limited, and Goldman Sachs. CPPIB has been reducing ownership positions in some Indian companies over the past year.
