Decarbonization Partners Invests in Shroom Company Mycoworks

Mycoworks Inc is a startup company based in Emeryville, California, which produces materials from mycelium. The company was founded in 2013 by Philip Ross, Sophia Wang, and Eddie Pavlu. Decarbonization Partners, which is owned by Temasek Holdings and BlackRock, invested in MycoWorks as part of a US$ 125 million Series C financing round. The round was led by Prime Movers Lab, with participation from other new and existing investors, SK Networks, Mirabaud Lifestyle Impact & Innovation Fund, DCVC Bio, and Novo Holdings.
Proceeds from the funding round are being used to launch MycoWork’s first full-scale Fine Mycelium production plant.
